PATTERN RELEASE: Color Therapy Cowl

Color Therapy cowl has been published :) It is 25% off until the end of December 2 and is part of Gift-A-Long. You are very welcome to join Gift-A-Long CAL with this pattern at

When I was working on this design, my goal was to create an ideal intelligent pattern for Tunisian crochet beginners. I did want this design to match several characteristics at the same time, such as:
  • simplicity. It uses Tss only, and worked flat, and seems to be a good project for beginners. Working flat is easy and seaming sides is fast.
  • spectacular appearance. The cowl is reversible, colorful, with the stripes on the one side, and mixed colors on the other side. It is stylish.
  • accuracy. I wish to make this design, not an actual crocheting, as neat as possible. The finished cowl looks great, even if it is, in fact, your first Tunisian crochet project. And also I hope that it didn’t become boring after all :) I used two balls of yarn with long-color repeats and it was so relaxing to watch the colorplay and how the colors mix.

The stitch pattern is reversible and creates delicate color “ladders” on one side, and stylish stripes on the other side.

My many thanks to my Tunisian muse and teacher MsWeaver for the inspiration and knowledge.

The sea was sapphire coloured, and the sky
Burned like a heated opal through the air;
We hoisted sail; the wind was blowing fair
For the blue lands that to the eastward lie.
(Greece by Oscar Wilde)

The ripple of the water on the side,
The ripple of olive and citrus groves…

The bags are worked top down in the round. You do not need to seam the bottom - it is joined during crocheting.

The pattern is written out for three colors, but it is possible to make a two-colored version (or more than three-colored). The pattern is written, charted and includes a picture tutorial.

Skills needed: basic crochet skills (ch, sc, dc, tr).

PROJECT: Spring Etude Shawl

I always try not to miss any of MsWeaver's tests: tons of brilliant ideas and new knowledge for me! This is my second Tunisian shawl. Love the result a lot :)

I worked on size Small and used straight Tunisian hook approx. 35cm long. At the end I had approx. 440 stitches on my hook :) So, it's possible and even comfortable to deal with it using the straight hook.

Closer look at the lace:

PATTERN RELEASE: Ocean Samba Skirt

One-year old design was finally released! I liked everything except the pictures. They were just boring and I had no idea how I could show the beautiful nature of hairpin crochet, until I made this picture :)

Breathtaking in movement, with gentle folds, this skirt won’t leave you indifferent!

PATTERN RELEASE: Porcelain Berry Shawl

Porcelain Berry Shawl on Ravelry:

The stitch pattern is so gentle and Malabrigo Silkpaca works so nice with 3.0 mm hook, that the finished shawl looks more like knitted lace than crocheted :)

The shawl is triangular, worked from top down, beginning at the neck back. Any size can be achieved very easily by working fewer or extra rows repeats.

PATTERN RELEASE: Seaside Skirt and Barabashki

The Bobble kerchief pattern works best of all with the novelty yarn: fluffy, funny and easy to crochet project.

Sveta tigris00's project
The skirt is worked in one piece, from the top down and seamless. The increase sections create gently undulating flares and two different skirt shapes can be achieved:
 - a classic A-line silhouette
 - or a wide flared skirt.

I was impatiently waiting for a skirt test results, because of the variety of yarn and yarn color used, different sizes and shapes. Thick yarn, awesome!
